Gourmet recipes - Buns with curds

It is said that the first step to the man’s heart passes through the stomach. Men actually have a gourmet nature. This was the gourmet recipe I prepared for St. Valentine’s Day.

Recipe products

300 g white flour
100 g curds
110 g curds
1 egg
1 teaspoon baking soda
A pinch of salt

Sift 200 g flour with baking soda. Beat and add the egg. Add yogurt, curds and salt. Knead the dough with a spoon. Add the rest of the flour by sifting it little by little. Knead until the whole amount is absorbed and soft and smooth dough is obtained(around 15 minutes). Leave to rest for around 10 minutes. Sprinkle the smooth surface with flour and shape the dough into flat cake with thickness of around 1 cm. Make figures using moulds(in my case hearts). Fry in oil. The oil should not be heated too much because it will burn the outer side of the buns and inner side will remain uncooked.

Serve with honey, powdered sugar or cheese.

Oven baked sour cabbage with rice

One of my friends asked me: “What medicine should I take so my stomach will feel lighter and better?” I answered that the solution of her problems is food which contain more cellulose. This cabbage gourmet recipe has pretty enough cellulose to cleanse your stomach.

Recipe products

1 head of sour cabbage (1.2 kilograms)
160 ml vegetable oil
120 g rice
1 tablespoon red pepper
200 ml water
700 ml cabbage juice

Cut the cabbage into fine pieces. Put in heated vegetable oil and fry around 3-4 minutes. Add water. Cover and leave to boil on low heated frying pan for 2 hours, until only grease remains. Add rice and red pepper. Stir and pour in a tray. Dilute with cabbage juice, level away the mixture and put in oven at maximum temperature, lower grate. Bake until the cabbage begins to wither and the rice absorbs the liquid.

Gourmet recipes - Brown bread with olives and rosemary

Here is another meal of my collection of gourmet recipes. This bread combines the two characteristics one meal should have. It is healthy and in the same time very delicious. We all know that brown bread is healthier than the white. Add olives and rosemary and you will get more delicious bread than you thought the brown one could be.

Recipe products

300 g whole grain white flour
200 g brown flour
9 g dry yeast
20 ml olive oil
60 g black salted olives
5 g (1 teaspoon) sugar
1-2 pinches of salt
3 g (1 teaspoon) ground dried rosemary
250 ml lukewarm water

Sift the flours one above other. Pit the olives and add to the flours. Sprinkle with sugar, salt, yeast and rosemary. Put the olive oil in the water and knead dough with it until it becomes smooth and soft(around 10 minutes). Leave to rise covered with folio on hot until doubling in volume. Knead again. Smear a rectangular mould with butter. Put the dough in it and push it so it can stick to the walls and the bottom of the mould. Cover with the folio and leave to rise again. Bake in preheated to 180 degrees Celsius(356 degrees Fahrenheit) oven, middle grate, 35 minutes.

Slice the onion into fine pieces and add it together with the washed and cleaned hearts in the heated oil. Cook on heated hot plate until greasy(the hearts emit liquids which should boil). Add rice for a minute, stirring it. Season with pepper and savory(I put more than usual) . Add salt. Pour the mixture in a small pan. Fill up water and stir well. Brown in oven at 220 degrees Celsius(428 degrees Fahrenheit) until the rice absorbs the liquid.

Gourmet recipes - Bread with apples, cinnamon and ginger

It is time for something sweet! One of the many gourmet recipes I offer. I decided to make bread with apples for two reasons. The first one is that my family likes sweet bread, and the other is that they do not like apples in “pure form”. If you are like my family(more accurately my sons) try this gourmet recipe.

Recipe products

2 eggs
220 g apples
200 g sugar
100 ml vegetable oil
150 ml milk
250 g white flour
8 g baking powder
5 g cinnamon
0.2 g vanilla
1 g ginger

Clean the apples and slice them into small cubes. Sprinkle slightly with flour, stir and leave aside. Beat whites of egg, yolks until creamy with sugar using electric mixer. Mix them together. Add vegetable oil little by little then add milk while stirring constantly with wooden spoon. Sift flour with baking powder, vanilla, cinnamon and ginger. Add the flour to the soaked mixture with another sifting. Add the apples. Stir the mixture carefully. Pour in a greased cake mould. Bake at preheated to 170 degrees Celsius(338 degrees Fahrenheit) oven, middle grate, for 45 minutes. Take out to a grate and leave to cool down.
